Vincent Back Division of Conn-Selmer, Inc., a manufacturer of band and orchestral instruments, has an immediate need for Bell Maker Brass Instrument. This is a full-time position and will be located at our Vincent Bach facility working hours from 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. We offer our employees endless opportunities to advance their careers.

General Responsibilities
Make student and professional bells using appropriate tools and processes
Comply with all Vincent Bach policies and procedures
Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean and orderly work are.
Specific Duties
Form bells
Tap down bells
Apply fusion and braze bells
Hammer flare seams (Bach only)
Wire brush seams (entire for student, flare only for Bach)
Roll seams using seam roller
Round seams (Student only)
Anneal student trombones and trumpet stems
Round up flare (Bach only)
Round up stem
Mark out patterns on brass and trim to pattern
Mix fusion and borax; load fusion gun and flux
Clean parts (Kaizen cell only)
Pre–determined Qualifications
Previous experience in making brass bells (bump only)
Ability to learn to braze
Ability to learn how to shape brass
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and brazing flux
Strength required to throw stem for rounding up
Hand strength required to pinch stems
Constant use of wooden hammer
